Although it's her job to set people up together, Patti Stanger is looking as qualified as Jennifer Love Hewitt, who also wrote a dating self-help guide, when it comes to her own relationships.

Patti and her boyfriend of over six years, Andy Friedman, have broken up. Patti called off the engagement and she tells Life & Style that she ended things because Andy doesn't want to have kids.

“I want a kid now and Andy doesn’t. My dealbreaker has always been kids. Ever since our first date, he knew I wanted kids, and then something along the way changed. A good guy is out there for me, I know it. A life without kids has no meaning to me. I think the most important job in the world is being a parent or stepparent!”

This story breaks my heart for so many reasons. No one should stay with someone who takes forever to propose. Andy clearly didn't want to be with Patti which is why it took him so long to put a ring on it, and then he was too cowardly to dump her, so he said he doesn't want kids cause he knew she would flee.

Patti is 49 years old and I don't understand why she's talking about having kids now or in the near future as though she won't need to be wheeled in via wheelchair at her children's high school graduation.

It's funny how Patti can be a rude loud mouth about everyone else's f*ckships but she's completely clueless about her own! I think she probably knew it wasn't going anywhere, but she was too busy to branch out and date. I hope she finds that "good guy" who is out there for her, but I think she should just go for a chick cause she's man enough for two parties. She needs to tone it down, like, a few dozen notches if she doesn't want to get an a-hole, which is the only kind of man I think would tolerate her.
