Teen Mom: Maci Bookout Talks About Bentley's Loser Father Ryan Edwards
Teen Mom Maci Bookhouse opens up about her relationship with Bentley's father Ryan Edwards. Maci tells Us Weekly she hardly speaks to her ex-fiance to try and avoid arguments as much as possible, and also said he spoils Bentley too much.
On this weeks episode of Teen Mom, Maci had been working on weaning Bentley off of his pacifier, but while he was staying with Ryan, that pacifier was quickly back in his mouth.
"He's just going to get [his pacifier] at Ryan's house. I think Ryan spoils Bentley and really has no boundaries as far as discipline. With me, I don't want Bentley to grow up and be a brat when he's 4 years old."
She also makes it clear that Ryan hardly does any daddy duties when Bentley's at his house, and I'm talkin' simple things like changing a diaper!
"As far as Bentley getting fed, his diaper changed, taking a bath, it's mainly Ryan's mom doing all of that."
Ryan needs to pull his head out of his *ss and start taking on his responsibilities as a father. Of course I only know what see on Teen Mom, and frankly with the way he's portrayed, he sucks as a dad. He's been a total d*ck since Maci was pregnant!
Man up, Ryan!

Maci is trying her best not to fight with ryan but it's hard because Ryan is always doing something stupid or dumb or taking care of bentley is the most stupiest thing
I have ever decided if I was maci I wouldn't let Ryan take care of bentley because he Is a JERKOFF and Ryan dosent know it not even himself but I am not lying the way he is been acting I know that he is a big JERK OFF I know this because I am a teen mom and I have to twin girls there name are Janelle Jaleyn and there both 10 months old and my husband didn't was a jerk off

Guys... it's just a show?! Nobody here knows them for real and MTV only shows the best material to make people like us have these conversations.
Maci is probably just lonely, it's hard to take care of a little one, especially without a partner on your side.
I just had a baby myself and the first weeks are just extremely hard and you just look for any kind of support. Ryan wasn't a very good dad right after Bentley's birth and Maci was pissed about that. Of course, I mean.. who wouldn't? If Ryan really wants to prove that he cares about his son he should probably stop yawning every time they have a conversation and say what's on his mind. He never says a word. He still seems very immature to me and has a lot more growing to do.

The way I look at it, is that in the very START maci done everything she could to make it work with ryan...he was the one going out all the time and doing what he wanted when he wanted ...NOT being the greatest dad, and now that another man is around he does not know hoe to feel about everything. I know that maci and ryan still love eachother, you can tell by the way they look at one another, but at the same time she cant sit and wait on ryan to want to be the family man she wants him to be. So I think it is great that she has found someone nice. They both have went their own ways and they have they have to make the best of it. It want PARENTS are to do. I see nothing worng with the baby in the car,,,,what it the diff then someone going on a road trip? If it is not you or your child dont worry about it! IT is Maci and Ryan's kid!!

Ugh! this move is terribly selfish, i cannot stand how conceited maci is now. Grow up and think of your child, he needs to have this relationship with his own dad, it is meant to be.

Ok. We all see the things they choose us to see on television. If Maci was indeed screwing up so badly I really do think people would stop her. She we know it wasn't a good choice. But she has been taking care of Bentley just fine. People who say that she's gotten help at the beginning: Well thank god!!! She didn't knew how to be a mother. But look at her now! The kid looks healthy AND happy. And Ryan.. *sigh* The guy wasted his rights a long time ago when Bentley was born. He literally took his hands of the baby. But he sees what a wonderful child he is, more power to Maci for that, and he is wining he wants more time. Ryan really should have figured that one out on his own. Way much earlier. But no, the descision he has made is based on pressure of his parents and girlfriend. Look, Maci is right. If it doesn't benefit Bentley them being together, it's better they stay split up and have a healthy relationship on their own. At least Bentley will learn there's love and that his parents

My hat goes off to Maci. You have given up so much for your son, "that is what it is to be a mother'" Ryan is a TOTAL JERK! He is worrried about the total amount paid in childsupport by Bentley being 18. He is stupid because he is not seeing what it takes in a year. He should be worry about more important things like how to be a man and get off his parents coat tails and stand on his own two feet (that is what men do). Not cry like a little girl. If it wasn't for his mom he didn't have the thought to ask for more time with his son. Do the math, like a judge wouldn't look at that video footage. Maci keep on doing what your doin.....

If you anything about this issue then u know ryan has no rights, he can only get what maci will give him! If you r not married and u have a kid the father is entitled to nothing, she is being nice by giving ryan any visitation at all which she is doing for bently. He should b happy w what he has, i have seen these situations first hand, he has to pay child support and not get any visitation at all and the mother can do whatever she wants.

It is obvious that most of these posts are by people who are in bad places theirselves. Most appear poorly educated as well. Maci stay strong and don't listen to the garbage people say. When you are happy, Bentley is happy. Make good, safe choices that will improve Bentley and your life. Finish school. I was a teen mom too but now I have two degrees, I am happily married (for 15 years) and have 3 fabulous kids. Nothing good is easy, but anything is possible. Don't loose hope and you won't loose your way!

When my parents divorced (my mom cheated on my dad and moved 4 hours away to be with the guy she cheated on him with), the court granted my father sole custody and my mother visitation. Even then, the court said it was my FATHER'S obligation to meet my mother halfway on her visitation weekends. 2 hours. Did he choose for her to leave? Did he cheat? Did he even get a say? No, he didn't. But in the court's eyes, that is fair.

First off I got to say that I LOVE maci and bentley is soo darn cute she is trying her BEST being a young mom and such...working and going to school I'm sure she is trying to make ryan somewhat jealous but not sure kyle is a goof ball lookin dude,that being said don't leave horrible comments praise her I'm a mom of 2 I had my 1st when I was 18 and that was 3yrs ago me and their dad are still together after 7yrs and we are mostly like amber and gary expect that were NOT big..lol its not been easy for me I work full time and I got to come home and be a full time MOM my kids dad dosent do anything to help me out he sleeps alllllllday and works at night I didn't want this kinda life for me or my kids but were young and this is what life throws at you some times soooo be NICE:)
