Theresa Giudice Accused of Fraud

Teresa Giudice keeps digging her own hole deeper, and if she's not careful, a judge is gonna come along and start throwing dirt on top of it.

According to a legal complaint filed over the weekend, the Jersey housewife and her husband Joe have been accused of hiding "major assets" and making "false sworn testimony" in their recent bankruptcy filing. They could now face federal charges for fraud, perjury and other crap that doesn't sound that bad, but can land you serious time behind bars.

The complaints against the couple are numerous and include such super-ballsy maneuvers as providing fake tax returns to the court (!) and not reporting the $250,000 advance that Teresa just received for her recent book, Skinny Italian. Hmmm...you made a quarter mil just from writing a cookbook? Yeah, bankruptcy judges usually like to know about that kind of thing. Oh, and they're not too cool with forged tax return documents, either.

It would be a shame to see Teresa get locked up for pure stupidity, but it's also hard to sympathize with someone who goes on $60,000 dollar shopping sprees and threatens to quit her job while she's filing for bankruptcy. Damn, girl, at least try to act broke.

Teresa and her husband are scandalous AND they're public figures. Why would they think Teresa's book advance salary wouldn't be investigated?! Teresa's an idiot and she continues to embarrass herself with her actions.

    Get it together, woman!
