Apollo Nida: Phaedra Parks' Family Didn't Know of Criminal Past
Phaedra Parks, 38, is a successful high profile attorney in Atlanta who just so happens to be married to Apollo Nida, 31, an ex-con who was convicted for racketeering in 2004 and paroled in May 2009 after serving five years in prison.
He still has a current case pending, but before that's all settled, Real Housewives of Atlanta viewers will be introduced to Apollo tonight when season 3 premieres.
People haven't been shy about talking about how insane it is for a lawyer to be married to an ex-con. Phaedra has responded to the criticism by writing some semi-nonsensical rant about how all black men are ex-cons and she didn't want to contribute to genocide.
Phaedra, possibly and justifiably embarrassed, didn't tell her family about Apollo's shady past.
"My family was a little shocked when they found out through the press... He has served his time and under our laws we have a system where if you do what you are supposed to do you should be able to return to society and be made whole and not constantly scrutinized for something that happened in the past."
Phaedra and Apollo had their first child together, a baby boy, in July.

I love phadra she works hard she has her own money she didn't have to lay down for it she's fabulous her house is Fab her baby is cute an spoiled as it should be her husband is fine an really loves her and who. Cares if he was in jail I this the other broke down hags who have to sleep with old ass men to get their stuff hating on her cause she's everything they can't be u go. Phadra

Excuse me everyone but it appears to me that this young lady is the only one who's not living off someone else s fame and fortune. Everyone on this damn show is here because a man took care of there needs and wants!! Don't hate on someone who is a successful woman and has made it too the top!! Oh well she can't help it if she's fabulous!! I think that she bought alot of spice to the show... I would love for Nene to try and mess with her............NOT.....it won't happen she knows who to step too!!

I agree Phaedra is the worst, but that husband she bought is Fine. Maybe she has low self esteem and that is why she always put herself on a pedestal and down talk everyone else.

Phaedra is just dumb as hell...plain and simple. Book sense but no common sense..Her husband is gay and rented for a few years thats why he had to sign a pre-nup. She lies all the time and always get caught. She was ashamed of the fact that she was pregnant before they were married and tried to lie her way out of that but her good ole doc told the truth about that one!

Phaedra is an idiot. First of all if she had the sense god gave a goat she would have stayed in her office and off TV. No self respecting attorney is doing a reality show number one. Number two no attorney is going to let it be broadcast that they are married to an ex-con. I find it amussing that her ignorant behind chased after so many Atl men desperatly throwing herself at them. She finally bought and paid for down low Apollo! I have seen this hood rat in action, she has had more than a few hotel room doors slammed in her face. Even more ridiculous is that she would get on TV and act like she didn't know how far along she was. I fell out laughing when she said Apollo was 10 pounds and born at 6 months! If that were true Guinness book would be knocking on his door. I love her OBGYN he laid all her BS bare! If she thought this would help her career as an attorney she was dead wrong. She is the laughing stock of the Atl. What a low rent dumb ass! A large paycheck doesn't give you class
