Well, so much for that whole "career" thing, Mel! Mel Gibson was all signed-on and ready to start his comeback with a cameo in the guaranteed hit sequel to The Hangover, but according to the director, the cast and crew wanted nothing to do with his angry @ss.

"I thought Mel would have been great in the movie...but I realize filmmaking is a collaborative effort and this decision ultimately did not have the full support of my entire cast and crew," director Todd Philips said. What?! Everyone wasn't crazy about working with a drunk, violent psychopath?! Damn, I'll never get a job again.

Rumor has it, Hangover star Zach Galifianakis led the anti-Mel crusade. The big beard-o said in a recent interview, "I'm in a deep protest right now with a movie I'm working on, up in arms about something." I don't think he was talking about the sh!tty cheese selection at Kraft services.

Looks like that's about it for Mad Mel. Dude was the hottest thing in Hollywood a few years ago and now he can't keep a cameo in The Hangover 2. Harsh. Mel and Brett Favre should just retire to some island for old guys who used to be cool, but are now hated by everyone.
