Apparently, it took having her daughter taken away for Amber Portwood to get her sh!t together. Child Protective Services made 2 year-old Leah a ward of the state and placed her with baby daddy Gary Shirley last week. Basically, the state decided that Amber is such an unfit mother that the child should be with Gary, and if Gary dies (and if you've ever seen the dude, you know he's pretty much ready to keel over any minute) the kid should be placed in a state-run orphanage rather than given back to Amber. You have to f*ck up pretty hard to get that kind of ruling.

But somehow, all that changed yesterday, and Amber and little Leah were reunited, causing Amber's ex, Gary to weep like the 400-pound bearded baby that he is. Seriously, dude cried when he dropped the kid off.

"Amber hired someone to clean up her apartment recently and even went out over the weekend to buy a proper baby bed for Leah," a source close to the couple told Radar Online. "She was trying to get everything up to par at home so that Child Protective Services would deem it a suitable place for Leah and she'd get her back: and it looks like it worked."

Really? All it took for her to get her daughter back was hiring a cleaning lady and buying a goddam bed for the kid? You'd think that's the kind of stuff she could have gotten around to before the state took her kid away, but I guess she was too busy washing down her horse pills with moonshine. Anyway, there's no word as to whether Amber has had her parental rights legally reinstated, but the scene yesterday seems to indicate a major ruling took place. If Gary was crying like that over a supervised visit then he deserves every backhand Amber gave him.

Don't worry haters of Porkwood (new nickname alert!), your favorite Teen Mom trash bag still is still facing felony domestic violence charges, and if the footage of her smacking Gary around like she studied at the Chris Brown School of B!tch Smackin' is any indication, Amber will be behind bars by Christmas!
