Taylor Momsen: 'I'm a Promoter of Masturbation'

Damn her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Taylor Momsen is making me like her again. Taylor is currently touring in Europe and she had an interview with The Guardian where she spoke out about female masturbation. Again.

Taylor said: “I’m a promoter of masturbation. Don’t sleep around—learn yourself first! Guys do, but girls don’t. And that’s why girls have so many bad experiences. But you can know your body, know yourself, know what feels good."

Pretty Reckless

Taylor also encourages young girls to wait before they begin having sex: "You don’t have to give yourself away just to have sexual relevance. Because I don’t think sex is something people should be afraid of. It’s part of human nature, so I don’t think it should be so shameful—particularly for girls and young girls.”

I agree with everything that Taylor said and I will leave it at that. Firecracker must plead the fifth on this one cause you know I have a lot to say. Such topics don't embarrass me, but I don't want to offend all of my nun readers who read this site religiously, bad pun intended.

You ought to know girl. How many nasty old men are jacking off on your picture?

Masturbation doesn't give you that much maturity into sexual relations. She thinks that's why girls have bad experiences? yea..that's the one and only reason. case closed. Girls just need to be comfortable around whoever they're with. Give it time. Let a relationship build. Real boys will give it time too. Let it be natural.
Sounds like she's contradicting herself in the next paragraph...she encourages young girls to wait by saying sex is not something they should be afraid of, it's human nature, they shouldn't be ashamed of it? So don't give yourself away when you're young for sexual relevance, give yourself away while you're young because it's human nature!! Go for it girls!
But yea, it is natural, you shouldn't be ashamed, just be comfortable and do it because YOU want to do it. Guys don't let girls pressure you. Girls don't let guys pressure you.

I agree with her, too. But all I could think was "Good for you. Now, you're 17...shut the fuck up." I don't think I would have thought that if she weren't constantly running her mouth and trying to show how OMG REBELLIOUS she was, you know? It puts a certain amount of cynical annoyance to the statements she makes that are valid and potentially helpful.
