Ryan Phillippe appeared on HLN’s Showbiz Tonight yesterday and was asked in an interview what kind of advice he would offer to other celebs who have been involved in scandals. Namely, the Hollywood f-ups of the moment, Lindsay Lohan and Charlie Sheen.

“I think you need perspective in order to handle a crisis the right way,” Ryan said. If you’re aware of the affect you have on people or the way you’ll be perceived that kind of modified your behavior.” Wise words. Fortunately for Ryan, shortly after he gave this interview news broke that he had his “ex-girlfriend” (f*ck buddy), Alexis Knapp, is claiming to be pregnant with his baby, so I guess he’ll have a chance to follow his own advice!

Ryan appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live later that night and didn’t mention the baby mama drama, so apparently keeping your damn mouth shut is also a good way to deal with a scandal.
