Justin Bieber isn't shy about being a mama's boy, but during a show in Berlin over the weekend, a nice gesture for Pattie Lynn Mallette's 35th birthday almost turned deadly.

Biebs brought Pattie out on stage to celebrate, but when she leaned in to blow out the candles on her massive cake, her hair caught on fire! Biebs reportedly came to the rescue, smothering the fire with his jacket. After Pattie was checked out by medics, Biebus even went on to finish the show. 

I'm getting a little sick of Justin upstaging the rest of us. I'm happy if I remember to send my mom a gift certificate to Bed, Bath & Beyond for her birthday. Biebs gift was saving his mom's life! By the way, his mom is only 35? Does that make anyone else feel old?
