Mob Wives star Drita D’Avanzo‘s husband Lee D’Avanzo has been behind bars for most of their marriage. Drita’s oldest daughter Aleeya is nine years old and she barely knows her father. Drita has allowed Aleeya to visit him in prison, and now Drita claims that Lee D’Avanzo‘s predicament is helping their daughter to make friends at school.

“Aleeya went to school — this little girl went up to her and said, ‘I can’t believe your mom is on that show. My dad’s in jail [too].Aleeya goes, ‘You’re dad’s in jail too?’ And the little girl goes, ‘Yeah.’ The other little girl goes, ‘My dad’s not around. Now I feel comfortable.’ And they became friends.”

Drita is dumb as sh!t and she shouldn’t even tell anyone that story. She needs to find a real man instead of trying to pretend that it’s fine that her husband is an idiot criminal.

Drita says that Aleeya has realized that “there are other kids” like her. Drita continued: “I found that fascinating because she came home and said, ‘Mom, you know this little girl, you know that little girl? This one’s dad was in jail. The other one’s left and never came back. The other one is in the army.’”

Drita said that her husband Lee teachers their daughter via collect phone calls!

“Lee will teach her. That’s what he does with her on the phone — he actually teaches her everything from history to math. He [even] sends her tests, and she has to take the test and mail it back to him.” Whatever helps you sleep at night Drita!
