Glee Officially Jumps the Shark: Ryan Murphy Fires Entire Cast for Season 4
Like many hit shows, "Glee" has lost its spark after about the first season of Fox's hit show. New writers came in, new faces joined the cast, storylines became non-sensical and were all over the place... One person may be to blame for that. Glee creator Ryan Murphy has clearly lost his mind! Murphy spoke to Ryan Seacrest about his awful plans for the over the top show.
Murphy said that after the upcoming season 3, the entire cast will be replaced, with the exception of Matthew Morrison and Jane Lynch!
“I don’t think of it in terms of eliminating or replacing. Because I think the thing about this cast is people love them and they are incredibly talented. They’ve left sort of an indelible mark. I wanted to do and the cast wanted to do, we didn’t want to have a show where they were in high school for eight years. We really wanted it to be true to that experience. We thought it would be really cool if we were true to the timeline.”
This is a retarded idea. Has J.K. Rowling brought in new faces to star in Harry Potter? Have Twilight stars been axed in favor of fresh faces? Has any show fired its entire cast after only 3 seasons?! Ryan is lacking direction. Glee has been on for TWO SEASONS, which has sh!t to do with its cast being in high school "for eight years."
Season 3 premieres in September on Fox.

@Semantics,
"Is one insult really much worse than another? I bet the pain & humiliation feels pretty much the same." - You have quite the imagination. Ask some gay guys if being called ugly, for example, feels the same as being called a faggot, and see what they say.
S-dawg said using "retarded" is like using an ethnic slur, which I don't agree with. I use retarded when I speak, and I use it when I blog. I own it.
I'll also be disabling commnts if people choose to ignore the content of this post: It's about Glee.

The word retarded is a valid medical term, ie. The patients progress is retarded or slowed down. Using it in an insulting way is another matter. I doubt these med pros are using retarded to describe someone with developmental disabilities or down syndrome. If they are, they are being umprofessional and are in need of some refresher courses to bring them up to speed with medical developments and proper medical terminology. Defending, justifying or comparing your use of the word as less offensive because others have called you a ni ... Never makes sense to me. Is one insult really much worse than another? I bet the pain and humiliation felt by the ones being called a n or retarded feels pretty much the same. The brain probably doesnt factor in the difference between the two words. I completely agree that we are too pc and sensitive, but if you say it, own it. Dont be the one who says that your insult is, basically, not that bad bc it isnt equivilent to the use and history of the n word t

@ Rachael,
Trust me when I say that I will use the word "retarded" in future posts.

I think it's really unprofessional to use a word like that in an article. You know the one I mean. Or you should. I'm not going even going to say it. But you should know.

Well S-Dawg is my friend, so I could never go in on her.
Using "retarded" will never be equivalent to someone calling me or my ancestors the N-word. Tell that to my nurse mother and her co-workers who use the term on a regular basis to describe patients' conditions at the hospital.
* Lil Payne is crazy. :)

I've always felt "retarded" is a less offensive word than "disabled." Something that's disabled doesn't work at all; something that's retarded is just slowed down.
Besides, "retarded" is still used in medical circles, and it's really the only word that accurately describes "Glee."

As long as the human race exists, some folks will say things that will offend others, no matter what those words may be.
"Retarded" will be flushed out and replaced with something else that may offend some people. Kudos to those involved in progressive campaigns and to those who may not always agree with what bloggers, or anyone, says. Everyone is entitled to their own views.
* I knew Glee wasn't gonna last long. Ryan Murphy's speeding things up.
