Huma M. Abedin is the 34 year-old wife of Congressman Anthony Weiner. Huma worked as an aide to United States Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton. During Hillary's 2008 presidential campaign, Huma served as a traveling chief of staff and "body woman."
Born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, Huma's father is of Indian descent and her mother is Pakistani. Huma's father was an Iranian scholar who passed away when she was 17 years old. Her mother is a professor in Saudi Arabia.
Huma attended Gorge Washington University and began working as an intern for the White House in 1996, landing an assignment with Ms. Clinton herself. Huma currently works for Hillary at the State department. Huma married Anthony Weiner on July 10, 2010 on Long Island.
