Kelly Clarkson Lets Us Down

Kelly Clarkson‘s highly anticipated new album has been pushed back a few times, but fans are finally getting a taste of her new (ear candy?) with her single “Let Me Down.” The first American Idol has a powerful voice, well suited for rock or emotional pop or country ballads, but this song is neither. “Let Me Down” is a whiny unoriginal track that sounds like it should have been released a decade ago. Clarkson’s voice is also somewhat unrecognizable in this song, which is a damn shame because she’s a pretty good singer.

Kelly said, “This album was influenced by Prince, Tina Turner, Sheryl Crow, Radiohead and there’s a little bit of a Country vibe/influence on a couple of songs.”

Hopefully the next song will be much better than this one. Jump in to hear “Let Me Down”!
