Amy Winehouse Died Alone in Bed, Found by Security Guard
Amy Winehouse was alone at her house when she passed away on Saturday. The frail singer was alone in her bed at the time. Amy was found by a guard who'd been appointed to keep an eye on her. Chris Goodman, a friend and rep for Winehouse, said: "Amy was on her own at home apart from a security guard who we had appointed to help look after her over the past couple of years. She was in her bedroom after saying she wanted to sleep and when he went to wake her he found she wasn’t breathing."
The guard called emergency services "straight away" and he was reportedly very shocked when he discovered Winehouse's condition. "At this stage no-one knows how she died. She died alone in bed."
Ex-boyfriend Reg Traviss did not find her body. Traviss was photographed outside her home soon after she died, which led some to speculate about who had found her. Amy's security guard, Andrew Morris, found her when she was not breathing. This news is a contradiction to TMZ's story about Amy showing "signs of life" when paramedics arrived.
According to reports, Winehouse could have been dead for up to six hours before she was found.
