New Amy Winehouse Photos Revealed by Terry Richardson
Amy Winehouse was so heavily photographed during her lifetime, it's hard to believe there are photos of her that haven't been seen until now. Famed photographer Terry Richardson released a series of shots of the late singer today that show a lighter, more humorous side of Amy that might surprise those who know her only as a troubled, and ultimately, tragic soul.
There are also shots like the one above that seem strangely ominous in the wake of Amy's shocking death. In some photos, Richardson - a master of his craft - captured Amy's torment by portraying her as a frightened little girl. Looking back on these pictures from 2007, it seems, at times, that Amy wore her troubles on her sleeve. Other shots, however, show Amy laughing it up and apparently loving life with then-husband, Blake Fielder-Civil. As a whole, the session encapsulates the dual nature of Amy Winehouse that made her problems so hard to understand or control. She was clearly troubled, but she could also be so confident, funny, and effortlessly charming that it seemed difficult to believe her demons would ever get the best of her.
