Adam Levine to the VMAs: "F**k You"
As a career, Adam Levine smolders and growls and sings and makes sexy eyes. When he’s not preoccupied with that, he says amusing things on a semi-regular basis. This time, it seems like the Maroon 5 frontman has finally begun to realize that MTV is more like an IV drip of trashy reality television than actual place of music and such, because he bashed MTV’s Video Music Awards in a scathing tweet.
“the VMA’s. one day a year when MTV pretends to still care about music. I’m drawing a line in the sand. fuck you VMA’s.”
Even better, he hasn’t retracted his comments because he’s got serious swagger (...like Jagger?!). Adam tweeted that he doesn’t regret slamming MTV, noting that “every once in a while the angsty teenager in me just blurts out some raw honesty.”
Yes! I love it when celebrities openly hate stuff and become their former, b!tchy adolescent selves! Filters lost means LOLs gained.
Admittedly, I do understand where he’s coming from. MTV doesn’t really give a sh!t about playing music videos on its main channel anymore. But it’s like, look at the silver lining. Also known as Jersey Shore.

I love Adam Levine and he can do no wrong in my eyes, but I'm curious about when he will stop bitching?! He has a great career and he's hooked up with 5% of the chicks in Southern California, it's time to count your blessings and stop trashing American Idol, the VMAs, celebrities who complain about the paparazzi, and etc. He doesn't even know what he's talking about half the time!
Adam is completely right on this and I respect him for speaking out, but it's like Twitter is exposing his bad qualities and he's morphing into a male Kelly Osbourne.

MTV should shove all their reality shows on a spin-off channel and go back to playing music videos and live performances back to back. :)
