Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum Are Engaged, But Will It Last?

Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum are engaged, but in the world of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, that doesn't mean a whole lot. It's kinda like American Idol. Winning the big prize doesn't necessarily mean you'll have the happy ending producers promised.

J.P. Rosenbaum Proposes to Ashley Hebert

Some couples have gone on to become husband and wife such as Trista and Ryan Sutter, or Jason and Molly Mesnick, who wed last year. Season 14 star Ali Fedotowsky and Roberto Martinez remain happily engaged, but that's about it...

Several couples have run into difficulties when their season of the show actually aired, because the sight of their new fiance dating dozens of other suitors was more than their young relationship could take. Then there are cases like Brad Womack and Emily Maynard, where the winning couple just realizes that they have nothing in common and that one of them is a colossal douche bag.

Ashley and J.P. seemed to be doing well on last night's After the Final Rose special, but it's too soon to know if they'll make it in the long haul. Here's hoping Bentley Williams doesn't re-enter the picture.

I think they're both gonna be fine.

One of the reasons why so many couples of this franchise have split is because the stars of the shows have been douchebags: Brad Womack, Bob Guiney, etc. Ashley and J.P. both have good character, which I think will make the difference.
