Demi Lovato: Kim Kardashian is Like My Big Sister

Demi Lovato was one of the 450 attendees at Kim Kardashian’s wedding of eternal epicness, but apparently their relationship runs a little deeper than a ‘you’re kinda famous, I’m kinda famous, come look pretty in the audience while you watch me get hitched!’ sort of thing. Demi told E! News, that even though she’s only known Kimmy K for a short amount of time, they’ve already formed a special sisterly bond.

"She's been a friend of mine for a little bit and she's like a big sister to me."

As someone with an actual older sister, I think I can say with authority that the qualifications go beyond having someone who is older and female in your life. There needs to be ample amounts of clothes-stealing and ‘I told you so’s, with just a sprinkling of psychological warfare. Just sayin’.

The singer and sometimes actress claims that hanging out with people like Kim has been crucial in her life post-rehab.

“I surround myself with people that are beneficial in my recovery and my recovery is still a daily battle and I definitely hang out with people that support me in making the right decisions.”

God, Kim Kardashian as a role model and arbiter of good life decisions. The words sound ridiculous, even as I'm typing them out right now. But hey, whatever works for you!
