Katy Perry Ties Michael Jackson Billboard Record
Katy Perry may shoot whipped cream out of her boobs and play around with Rebecca Black, but that doesn’t mean she can’t make a great pop song. The songstress has tied the King of Pop for a Billboard milestone, though I don’t know if anyone’s going to start comparing her to Michael Jackson yet.
Katy Perry becomes the first woman, and second artist overall following Michael Jackson, in the 53-year history of the Billboard Hot 100 to send five songs from an album to No. 1, as "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)" becomes the fifth chart leader from her Capitol Records set "Teenage Dream."
The title track from her album, “California Gurls,” “Firework,” and “E.T.” also reached the number one slot on the Billboard chart.
I’m not surprised she has hit #1 on the charts over and over again because her songs are catchy as hell. It’s pretty impressive that she’s managed to squeeze five hit singles out of one album, though. Most people never get one.
Congrats, Katy!

That's why I never bought CDs very often. Usually only one or two songs are decent and the rest is shit. It's rare to come across an entire album that's good, let alone produces five #1 hits.
