Leighton Meetser look-a-like and professional Derek Jeter dater, Minka Kelly, will not be walking down the aisle with the most beloved man in NYC (no, not Trump).

Derek and Minka have broken up after three years of dating. An insider tells People that the split was “amicable” and the two are “still friends.” Minka is currently busy filming the ABC series Charlie’s Angels, while Derek is finishing out another historic season with the Yankees. So, Derek is a beloved icon who recently cemented his status as a living legend by earning his 3,000th hit, while Minka is hoping that she can finally become something other than the girl who looks like the girl from Gossip Girl. I’m guessing I know who pulled the plug on this relationship.

Regardless of who ended it, we’re confident that Derek will bounce back in the style of a champion, just like he did with the dozens of model/actress/whatevers he dated in the past. He’s hoping to bang 3,000 before he retires.
