Janet Jackson and Wissam al Mana reportedly got engaged last year. When Wissam put a ring on it, Ms. Jackson was in the middle of her "Up Close and Personal Tour," so she wasn't ready to go public with the news.

Janet's Qatari businessman and billionaire boyfriend proposed with a 15-carat diamond ring, but they're upgrading. "They're shopping for an even bigger diamond ring to celebrate their official engagement," a source says.

Janet has been telling her friends that an official engagement will come by the end of summer. "She and Wissam will marry in late 2011." Hmmmm.

Jackson has been married twice before and she invested 7 years into ex-boyfriend Jermaine Dupri. Janet credits Wissam for her weight loss and has said that he helped her deal with her brother's passing.

I've always liked Wissam and I also don't think that anyone should be sitting around for years waiting to walk down the aisle. Congrats to Wissam for being man enough to step up or step down.
