I was ready to rip Uncle Tom Republican Herman Cain a new one until I watched his entire appearance on Fox News’ Hannity show. The man does have a point here. Cain said: “I don’t have a lot of patience for people who want to blame racism on the fact that some people haven’t made it in America.”
He continued: “One of the greatest things about this country is if you put your mind to it and you don’t play the victim card, you can do whatever you want to do in this country, I am walking proof of that.”
Racism thrives in America and it presents many obstacles for minorities in this country, BUT many minorities, and many people of all ethnicities in general, don’t strive to succeed and are quick to point fingers.
Naturally, Cain threw minorities under the bus again, and his dumb a*s hasn’t figured out that he embodies the “Angry black man” stereotype each time he says “I don’t have a lot of patience,” which he says every day, but the self-hating a*shole does have a point here to an extent. You don’t get anywhere by blaming someone else.
Cain strives to glamorize America and the American Dream as though prosperity is within arm’s reach of every American. Aspiring to represent white Republicans with his rhetoric, he refuses to mention the disadvantages and setbacks that poor people (and minorities) face in this country. His outlandish comments and harsh critiques are entertaining at this point. He’s like a performer in a minstrel show, on stage for entertainment purposes only. This America that Cain speaks of sounds amazing, though. If only we could all go there sometime and become rich and successful!
