Eddie Murphy Quits Oscar Hosting Gig!
Eddie Murphy is not happy that his, uh, friend and Tower Heist director Brett Ratner resigned as the Oscars' producer, so Murphy jumped ship!
Eddie issued the following statement today: “First and foremost I want to say that I completely understand and support each party’s decision with regard to a change of producers for this year’s Academy Awards ceremony."
Murphy continued: “I was truly looking forward to being a part of the show that our production team and writers were just starting to develop, but I’m sure that the new production team and host will do an equally great job.”
The Oscars will be held on February 26, 2012. I respect Eddie's decision, but who the hell is going to host the show now?!

I seems like a lot of people were not happy that Eddie was going to be the host anyway. Maybe that is what they were hoping. That he would pull out of it. I thin he would have made an excellent host.
