Adele Defends Miley Cyrus

Adele feels that Miley Cyrus faces excessive scrutiny for her actions. Miles has taken racy pictures years ago, started dressing like a prostitute on stage, smoked a bong, and admitted/ "joked" about being a pothead. Still, Adele feels that people are too hard on her.

"I like Miley. I think she's really, really sweet. I think she gets a hard time, to be honest. It's not like it was her fault she was a Disney star. She was growing up, you know? I think she gets a hard time a lot of the time." Uh, okay.

Folks I've talked to who know Miley have mentioned how grounded she is. I don't think Miley allows the hype to phase her. It's not like Miley was thrust into the spotlight within months like some reality TV star. Miley was a child star and now she's adult. She's used to the criticisms and, generally speaking, she stays out of trouble and doesn't make a spectacle of herself.
