Jenelle Evans: Bipolar, Hospitalized For Kidney Infection

Someday, Jenelle Evans will go an entire week without ending up in a jail or hospital...it just doesn't look like it'll happen in 2012. With two arrests already under her belt this year, the Teen Mom 2 star is enduring more unexpected drama in the form of a kidney infection, her third hospitalization in the past 12 months.

Jenelle's condition has improved, and she's expected to be released from the hospital today, but Jenelle shared another surprise with her Twitter followers while she was laid up. Hooked up to an IV during the now infamous fight scene on Tuesday's Teen Mom 2, Jenelle somehow managed to tweet and defend herself against those who might rightfully assume she has serious mental issues. "Bipolar disorder sweetheart," Jenelle tweeted to a fan who accused her of being "seriously psychotic." Well, guess that kinda explains it.

Fellow Teen Mom star Amber Portwood has also claimed to suffer from bipolar disorder. Of course, the disease usually isn't associated with fits of violent rage like the kind these two moms are known for, but at least they're seeking help. Hopefully, MTV won't indulge them with anymore reality stardom until they get the treatment they need. It's not fun to laugh at their antics, if they're genuinely mentally ill.

Someone should have researched Bipolar Disorder before rendering an opinion that  it isn't associated with rage.  It most certainly DOES!  Especially in children with the illness.  Emotional extremes are symptomatic of bipolar so it is hardly surprising that bipolar disorder in children and adults should manifest itself in outbursts of rage.
