Jerry Sandusky, the man who may be responsible for sexually abusing young boys and the one responsible for tarnishing Joe Paterno and Penn State’s legacy, has issued a statement on the passing of the legendary football coach.

For whatever reason, Sandusky’s first sentence included an exclamation mark: “This is a sad day!”

The alleged pedophile said: “Our family, Dottie [Jerry's wife] and I would like to convey our deepest sympathy to Sue [Paterno] and her family. Nobody will be able to take away the memories we all shared of a great man, his family, and all the wonderful people who were a part of his life.”

Jerry continued: “He maintained a high standard in a very difficult profession. Joe preached toughness, hard work and clean competition. Most importantly, he had the courage to practice what he preached.”

It’s not like Jerry could remain silent on this one, I just wish that he did. Sandusky is facing over 40 counts of child sex charges.
