There’s always something for the Kardashian family to get mad at, just as there is always something for us to get mad at about the Kardashian family. It’s a fair trade (kind of). Their latest gripe? The hilarious and popular BoycottKim.com.
Since it launched in early November, the petition imploring Americans to boycott any products sold and marketed by the K-klan has taken off, garnering over 500,000 signatures from haters of the fine arts of famewhorery and exploitation. After the site added content detailing some of the negative attention the family has received, the Kardashian family lawyers contacted the founder of the website and threatened to file a criminal harassment complaint against him.
This seems like a bit of an overreaction in my opinion, and the site’s anonymous founder seems to be taking it as such, laughing the threat off and insisting, “[Her lawyers] try to scare you. They do not want bad publicity.”
Bad publicity from this is really the least of their problems right now. When people are already pissed at you, shutting down a single website isn’t going to do much except invoke even more stank eye. But that’s just how the Kardashians operate.
