Kyle Richards Advice: ‘If You Cheat Once, Don’t Tell’

Kyle Richards of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills appeared on Good Morning America to promote her new book “Life Is Not a Reality Show,” and she said that when someone cheats, “You get a free pass.”

Kyle says that she knew that people would get upset with her for saying it, but when it comes to marriage and infidelity, someone who cheats once needs to deal with their indiscretion without telling their spouse.

Kyle Richards controversy

“If you cheat once, don’t tell. You get a free pass… If this really was a one time mistake, and you did not put this person in jeopardy, I personally think you should deal with it with yourself.”

Kyle says that she advised one of her female friends to keep quiet and that “many, many, many years later they’re happy and together.”

I agree with Kyle. Many people believe that if someone cheats once, that person is destined to keep cheating, but I think it depends on the person. Kyle isn’t advocating cheating, but she’s just saying that folks should keep quiet if it happens once, which I wholeheartedly agree with. A one-night stand with some random ho is far different than having multiple, ongoing affairs. The only problem is that a one-night stand could be a catalyst to habitual cheating. It’s a slippery slope, but I agree with what she’s saying based upon the circumstances.
