Whitney Houston Funeral Scheduled For Friday
Whitney Houston's body has been transported back to her native New Jersey on a private jet owned by Tyler Perry. Her family is said to be planning a funeral service in Newark for this Friday.
Fans have already gathered at the site of the funeral, leaving flowers and letters to the beloved singer on the steps of the church. For the benefit of the thousands of mourners who will not be able to attend Friday's service, Whitney's family is said to be planning a public memorial for 18,000 fans at the Prudential Center. No word on when that memorial might take place.
Currently, there is still no official word on the cause of Whitney's death and much finger-pointing has taken place in an effort to assign blame for the singer's tragic demise, but hopefully in the coming days fans and friends will take time to focus on her legendary life, rather than the events of her death. Celebrities including Jennifer Hudson and Sir Paul McCartney have already visited a makeshift memorial for Whitney at the Beverly Hilton, where she lived her last days.
