It has been far too long since I’ve covered Adam Lambert and I’m going through withdrawals, so here’s some ‘new’ Glambert news for ya. Adam is a proud gay man who doesn’t like it when people give him backhanded compliments. He also has haters for some reason, but he doesn’t mind. They motivate him to keep going. He should start a gossip blog!

Lambert posted these messages last month, but they’re just as relevant today as they were weeks ago. Better late than never! Last year Adam vowed to “keep it as real as possible at all times. No more pageant-style p.c. smile and wave, smoke blowin, fake BS.”

I didn’t think about the whole “even though” you’re gay thing at all, probably because I’m not a gay mainstream singer and I love folks because they’re gay.

Adam is insulted, but it’s great that his talent transcends homophobia. In a way that’s the ultimate compliment, but being African-American, I get it. It’s annoying when people put in effort to be so blunt about your differences. The man has a point!
