African-Americans Sue ‘The Bachelor’ For Racial Discrimination

This is America, people are racist. There’s no surprise from me here! But two male African-Americans are suing mad after they were slighted during The Bachelor auditions. Christopher Johnson, an aspiring NFL player, and Nathaniel Claybrooks attended a casting call in Nashville for the popular dating show.

When Christopher arrived, a producer asked him what he was doing there!

Christopher and Nathaniel were taken to the side of the room and excluded from the audition process. Neither was called back and they believe that’s because they’re black. ABC, Warner Horizon Television, Next Entertainment, NZK Productions and creator Mike Fleiss will all be sued in a class action lawsuit the plaintiffs are filing in court today.

The only thing I’m super pissed about is that I didn’t audition for The Bachelorette so that I could sue, too! There are still plenty of shows that wouldn’t cast me because I’m African-American, so all hope is not lost! On a serious note, The Bachelor producers had this coming. They’ve had like 15 years to cast someone other than white men and women for “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette,” but they didn’t care to and they didn’t even hide their prejudice when the plaintiffs tried out for the show. That’s not how you properly discriminate! You act like people who don’t have a chance actually do and then you shred their resume once they exit the room.
