It looked like Nene Leakes‘ separation from her husband Gregg was just a part of the script, but the Real Housewives of Atlanta star is actually divorced! Nene has said that she may leave Gregg for the past few seasons of the show, but what viewers don’t know is that Gregg and Nene are already divorced!

TheYBF reports that Nene filed for divorce in Forsyth County on April 29, 2010 during the filming of season 3. Her divorce was finalized on September 29, 2011 after season 4 had wrapped!

Leakes has not spoken out about her personal life. She and Gregg got married in 1997 and have one son together, Brentt… Very interesting. On the show, Nene was saying that Gregg cheated on her and that they were having breakup sex. Before that, Gregg spoke to a “friend” about Nene who played Gregg’s private conversation on a radio station in Atlanta. Their split was messy!

I think Nene’s fame ruined her marriage, though. People who watch RHOA don’t recognize who Nene is anymore. She had a complete diva transformation after season 1 and she says “I’m very rich!” to folks like the new money idiot that she is. We doubt Gregg, or anyone for that matter, wants to be around all that noise and ghetto drama on a day to day basis.
