Back when I was in junior high school and Alanis Morissette was on the scene, she sold over 10 million copies of Jagged Little Pill. The album is one of the most successful ever, but selling 10 million copies of your record in the States alone was typical. Selling 10 million records was equivalent to selling 1 million copies. You would just go to an actual record store to buy new music instead of typing in some keywords and tapping your mouse a few times. Those were the days!

British sensation Adele has sold more than 9 million copies of 21 in the United States alone. In today’s download-friendly era, this is virtually unheard of!
Adele’s 21 has been on the Billboard 200 chart’s top 10 list for its entire 63-week run! She currently holds the No. 2 position, selling 101,000 copies this week. Thank gawd this chick got dumped, right?!
Adele told French radio station NRJ: “There will be a new song, probably coming out at the end of the year.”
Adele said that she’s done writing songs about heartbreak. Simon Konecki is safe.
