The first John Travolta accuser to allow himself to be named publicly is now being discredited by the efforts of John’s pit bull lawyer, Marty Singer. Fabian Zanzi initially claimed that Travolta offered him $12,000 in exchange for sexual favors. An initial report on the incident, however, reveals that the former Royal Caribbean employee may have had a much more innocent (though still creepy) encounter with the actor.

Zanzi reported the incident to his superiors shortly after it happened in 2009, but he made no mention of the offer of money for sex or the open-robed hug for which he’s now suing. Instead, Zanzi claimed that Travolta asked him for a neck massage, told him he was “a beautiful person,” and asked Zanzi to join him later that night. Zanzi refused, reported the incident, and was subsequently fired.
The most surprising thing here is that Travolta’s lawyers seem overjoyed by this revelation. Sure it clears their client of any criminal wrongdoing, but if the story is true (and if Zanzi got fired for it, why wouldn’t it be?) then it essentially confirms that John has a thing for the fellas, a fact which he’s obviously spent several decades trying to conceal. He’s not gonna be too pleased if his legal team keeps him from getting sued, but in the process, reveals a secret he’s spent his adult life trying to protect.
