George Zimmerman, the former neighborhood watch volunteer and accused killer of Trayvon Martin, is soon to go to trial but a recently discovered Myspace page from 2005 has already caused Zimmerman to be convicted in the court of public opinion.

While images from the page show Zimmerman hanging out with an ethnically diverse group of friends, his references to past legal troubles and disparaging comments about Mexicans paint him as a troubled, angry and potentially violent man. Zimmerman describes growing up in Virginia as, “Workin 96 hours to get a decent pay check, gettin knifes pulled on you by every mexican you run into!” In his online rant, Zimmerman went on to say that he doesn’t miss the “wanna be thug” Mexican immigrants of his hometown.
Perhaps even more revealing are Zimmerman’s references to his past legal troubles, including references to crimes for which he was never caught. “They do a year and dont ever open thier [sic] mouth to get my ass pinched,” he wrote, suggesting that his friends who were arrested could’ve ratted him out, but didn’t. He also references his 2005 arrest for striking an ATF agent.
George Zimmerman is currently free on bail and awaiting trial in Florida.
