Say what you will about Charlie Sheen but the man remains good for business. Sheen’s new highly anticipated show “Anger Management” debuted last night on FX and the Sheenius’ fans and critics tuned in to check it out! An astonishing 5.74 million people tuned into Sheen’s premiere last night, making Anger Management the most-watched scripted comedy primetime series premiere in cable history!
The show was also the most-watched series premiere in FX history, natch, drawing in a large number from the most coveted demo, 18 to 49 year olds.
Elijah Wood’s season 2 of Wilfred and Louie, also did well while Russell Brand’s new late night comedy Brand X also had a decent opening.
Charlie’s character is named Charlie.
I tuned into Anger Management. It’s a show for Sheen fans for sure, if you don’t like him, you should skip it. But I’m a Charlie fan and I think he fills a niche. There’s definitely a place for him on TV.
