January Jones barely appeared on Mad Men this past season, and she's not doing much else career-wise, which may help explain why the actress decided to color her signature blonde locks.

January was spotted sporting her new red hair on an outing with son Xander yesterday. Her IMDB page doesn't reveal any projects in the works, so it seems the change in appearance was a personal decision, not a professional one. She's got a light enough complexion to pull off the ginger look, but we'll always think of January as an icy blonde. Hey, it's still a better look than that fat suit she rocked on Mad Men last season.
