Jennifer Love Hewitt’s mother passed away yesterday from complications due to cancer. Patricia was 67 years old. Jen and her mother moved from Texas to Los Angeles in 1989 to pursue a career in show business. Patricia was a speech-language pathologist and is survived by her daughter, 33, and son, Dr. Todd Hewitt.

Hewitt’s rep says: “Her family mourns her loss. She was an angel to all who knew her and they are grateful she is now in a better place. They ask for privacy at this difficult time. No further details are being provided.”
