Word on the curb is that season 6 of Jersey Shore will be the final season of MTV’s hit reality show. Contrary to reports that The Situation and Snooki will be phased out and then replaced in season 7, In Touch reports that fans may not be able to fist pump with their favorite guidos and guidettes much longer.

An insider says that an executive producer announced that “this season will be the last.”

“She stressed to the cast that fans will remember them for this season, not the first, so they should bring their A game.” The cast reportedly “didn’t seem upset,” and instead “decided to make the most of their final days at the Shore.”

Considering that Snooki’s pregnant, Mike’s sober, Deena has a boyfriend named Chris Buckner and Ronnie and Sammi may be together again, making “the most” of season 6 will probably involve more lame pranks and sober “fun.” Hopefully this story isn’t just a rumor! It’s time to pull the plug on this cast.
