Amy Winehouse’s former boyfriend Reg Traviss has been charged with rape. The 25-year-old director and producer was arrested on April 5th by Metropolitan police. A woman alleges that he raped her between December 29, 2011 and January 1, 2012.

Reg’s friend says: “He does know the woman who made the report to police and he completely denies the allegation.  He wants to do everything in his power to fight this.”

Two days ago Mitch Winehouse, Amy’s father, told a radio station that Amy and Traviss planned to get married and were trying to have children. Traviss’ court date is set for July 17th, just 6 days before the one-year anniversary of Amy’s untimely passing.
