When women appear on Cosmopolitan magazine, the anti-feminist publication not only practically requires that all of its cover models show cleavage, editors typically make women’s breasts look much bigger and their bodies much slimmer – just my 2 cents.

When New Girl star and self-proclaimed feminist Zooey Deschanel covered British Cosmopolitan, she covered her breasts up. Good for her!
Zooey is trying to keep her whole awkward nerd public persona going, saying: “I’ve always felt like an outsider and I still do when I go to fancy events. I still sit there and think, ‘I don’t belong here’.”
She continued: “I take all the glitz and glamour of this business with a large grain of salt. I feel very removed from it. Not in a bad way – it’s cool – I just don’t feel a part of it.”
Zooey explains that she’s not shy, and based upon what I’ve witnessed in person on a few occasions, I would agree: “I’m not shy. I have a strange sort of combination of awkwardness and confidence.” She continued: “I’m actually okay with awkward moments. But it’s not because I think I’m so great. I’m confident in things other than, like, my ‘swagger’. I’m confident in my sense of humor. I’m comfortable in my skin.”
I guess Zooey’s truth telling when she says she feels like she doesn’t belong at big events, but she’ll quickly get over that!
