Hey, remember when Jessica Simpson kept talking about how quickly she’s gonna drop weight after her pregnancy, even going so far as to say she wants to look like Jessica Alba and signing a $3 million deal with Weight Watchers? Yeah, well, it looks like she’s finally beginning to realize that losing weight – particularly after a pregnancy – is, like, totally hard, you guys.
“Jessica is losing weight slowly,” a source tells Radar Online. “She wants to do it at her own pace and make sure she’s healthy. Her goal right now is to lose one pound a week.”
It’s good to set healthy, attainable goals, but let’s crunch the numbers on this: Jessica reportedly gained about 75 (!) pounds during her pregnancy, and she’s supposed to start shooting commercials for Weight Watchers when she gets back to her pre-pregnancy weight. At this rate, we’ll be seeing those ads sometime in 2014, right around the time that everyone forgets Jessica even had a baby.
