Here is your latest American Idol judge rumor:  Idol honchos reached out to Kanye recently about filling one of the open judging spots … and Kanye expressed interest. "Idol" would "at least match Mariah's salary" — a cool $18 mil a year.

You know what would be funny? If American Idol's ratings actually tanked or didn't surpass last year's ratings. It's kind of sad how desperate the producers of this train wreck have become.
