Haters were hating but Michael Phelps proved them wrong! After Phelps was caught hitting a bong, rumors were rampant that he wasn't training as hard as he used to. He got "depressed and fat" and some doubted that Michael would be able to beat Ryan Lochte, his strongest competitor on Team USA.

But Phelps is going out with a bang. He lost in his first race alongside Lochte, but beat him in the 200-meter individual medley!

Michael is already the most-decorated Olympian of all time. He is also the first male swimmer to win an individual event at three consecutive Olympics! Phelps is not even done yet! He still has the 100 butterfly final today and the 4×100 medley relay on Saturday.
