Miley Cyrus covers Marie Claire magazine’s September issue and the singer-actress defends her decision to become an engaged teenager and once again sounds overly confident about the fate of her relationship with Liam Hemsworth.

“Liam and I have a really good relationship. Neither of us is super-jealous. We know each other and would never do anything to hurt each other.”

To her credit, Miles and Liam have been together for three years. Still, just because they haven’t hurt each other yet doesn’t mean that they can’t or won’t. Just look at what homewrecking Kristen Stewart did to Robert Pattinson.

“Life is too short not to be with the person you want to be with. I don’t really care about the wedding or the piece of paper as much as I do the promise we’ve made to each other.”

Miley said that she and Liam “want to have a long engagement” and that his proposal at their shared L.A.-area home was a “complete surprise.”

I could actually see Miley and Liam standing the test of time, but more than likely they’ll split and I see that happening like two kids later!
