Lady Gaga and mainstream hip-hop have both been pretty damn boring to listen to lately, but with any luck, up-and-comer Azealia Banks will soon be livening things up on both fronts.
Rumors about a collaboration between Banks and Gaga began after the two started exchanging Twitter messages a few weeks ago. Yesterday, Banks confirmed that she has, in fact recorded a track with the Mother Monster.
“Yeah, I worked on a song for her,” Azealia told Capital FM. “I don’t know if it will make her record. I hope it will make her record, but we’ll wait and see.”
Banks, who’s awesome “212″ video has received over 30 million hits on YouTube, is hoping the A-list collaborations don’t stop there. Asked if there are any other celebs she’d like to work with, Azealia replied simply, “I haven’t done a record for Rihanna. I’d like to, but I haven’t.”
