Olympic snowboarder Shaun White was arrested for public intoxication and vandalism early Sunday morning in Nashville.

 

 

Shaun was attending musician Patrick Carney's wedding and he got so drunk that he pulled a fire alarm, causing evacuations, then attempted to flee the scene but fell backwards and hit his head against a fence.

 

White issued the following statement today on Facebook:

 

"I want to apologize for the unwise choices I made over the weekend and for any inconvenience it caused my family, friends, business partners, the hotel and their guests."

 

He continued: "I was celebrating a happy occasion with a ton of family and friends and got carried away. I'm truly sorry for my poor behavior."

 

Officers responded to the scene at 2 a.m. on Sunday. Shaun appeared to be extremely intoxicated and smelled strongly of alcohol.
