We reported weeks ago that Jef Holm dumped Emily Maynard after the bachelorette star was caught cheating with NFL quarterback Matt Leinart. Rumors persisted that Jeff and Emily were trying to works thing out, but the couple confirmed to People earlier today that they are officially dunz-o.

"I am sorry to tell you that Jef and I have, indeed, parted ways," said Maynard. "It was a very difficult and heartbreaking decision." Gotta love how she pretends it was a mutual decision when we all know she got busted hoin' it up all over town.

Emily proceeds to babble on about how she's a "hopeless romantic" adding, "I have no regrets because I did find love and shared an incredible journey with a really special person." For his part, Jef issued a statement defending Emily, thereby protecting his own reputation, thus leaving the door open for some kind of lucrative reality gig. This is the kind of love that can only be found on ABC.
