The critically beloved writer/director/actress has landed an astonishing $3.5 million advance for her first book, tentatively titled, Not That Kind of Girl: Advice From Lena Dunham. Well, if it'll land them that kind of payday, I'm gonna encourage all the girls I date to read this book. Am I right, fellas?! *awkwardly adjusts tie*

Seriously, though, the folks at Random House just netted themselves a guaranteed bestseller – no mean feat in today's publishing industry. For her part, Ms. Dunham has made a major move toward transitioning into post-Girls stardom. Homegirl is clearly not content to retire at 25 and admire her HBO Cult Hero plaque. She's got her sights set on becoming the 21st Century Woody Allen, not the female Danny McBride (google him).
