She might be one of hip hop’s hottest females, but she isn’t winning over any fans behind the scenes at American Idol.
Sources say judge Nicki Minaj royally upset the producers of FOX’s most-watched series Wednesday after arriving 15 minutes late for the first live episode of the season.
Host Ryan Seacrest lightened the mood on-air, cracking a few jokes about the 30-year-old rapper’s empty seat.
“Which one of you gave Nicki the wrong directions today?” he joked to the other judges to laughs. “Which one of you drained the fuel from her car?”
But the recently heartbroken Seacrest was reportedly livid about Nicki’s lack of commitment once the cameras stopped rolling.
“Ryan was the angriest… Nicki knew better,” an anonymous source told FOX411’s Pop Tarts column.
To no one’s surprise, Ms. Minaj wasn’t giving away apologies, simply tweeting, “Stuck in traffic” while en route to the show.
We can practically hear the stampede of American Idol fans swapping to Team Mariah.
